HOW IT ALL STARTED
I started my fitness journey while I was in University studying Psychology and Human Kinetics. I created a workout plan and started training consistently and was amazed by how it changed my life. I was happier, I felt stronger and more productive, and had more energy throughout my day; my body began to transform.
Prior to starting a workout plan, I was always trying different diets, and would run excessively. I felt like working out and eating healthy was the biggest burden – and I never made it a lifestyle. After years of yo-yo dieting and unhealthy habits, I fell in love with exercise and nutrition. I wanted to eat healthier in order to fuel my body for my workouts and my day. I actually enjoyed exercising, and loved reaching my strength goals. I felt better in my clothes, and a swimsuit! Once I realized how transforming a healthy lifestyle could be, I decided to pursue a career as a personal trainer. While finishing my degree at Trinity Western University, I volunteered as a Strength and Conditioning Coach to TWU athletes. Once I graduated with my degree in Human Kinetics and Psychology, I became ACE certified and started my personal training business in Langley, My Reward Fitness. Over five years later, I love what I do more than ever. I love sharing my passion about health and fitness with my clients, and help them find balance and happiness training.
